Meredith Castro

Meredith Castro is a Research Associate at the Wyss Academy’s Hub South America, where she collaborates in the ID Indigenous Governance. She has a background and a master’s degree in anthropology. During the last decade she has worked in research, NGOs, public administration, and teaching in different regions of the Peruvian Amazon, working mainly with Indigenous peoples. Her research topics include ethnic affirmation, the impacts of the oil industry in native communities, intercultural bilingual education, and the anthropology of laughter.
