Matteo Grigoletto

PhD Researcher, Political Economy and Sustainable Development

Matteo Grigoletto is a PhD candidate in Political Economy under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kai Gehring. He obtained his MSc in Economics from the University of Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. He has experience as a researcher in several institutions and universities, including the European Commission Joint Research Center and the University of Zurich. His primary research focus lies at the intersection of political economy, public economics and development economics. His research aims to address meaningful economic questions, underscoring the role of narratives, societal norms, and historical context in shaping economic behavior. In his work, he employs advanced methodologies, in particular from the Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning toolkits.
