Gabriela Gonzales

Gabriela Gonzales is an associate researcher at the Wyss Academy's Hub South America, with special focus on indigenous territorial governance issues. She studied Geography and Environment at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and she has specialized in indigenous people rights, food sovereignty, territorial governance and social cartography. Currently, she is pursuing a certificate about cartography practices in Latin America. She has experience in designing, monitoring and implementing projects with grassroots organizations, NGOs and the public sector, in which she has accompanied processes related to climate change, territory, extractivism, agroecology and environmental education. She is also responsible for individual and collective publications about cultural cartography, gentrification and participation methodologies. Gabriela is a member of climate justice collective TierrActiva Peru.
