Clara Diebold
PhD Candidate, Land Systems and Sustainability Transformations
Clara Diebold is a PhD candidate in the Land Systems and Sustainability Transformation research team. She holds a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Bern. By working as a research associate at the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), she gained valuable experience in international research projects before starting her PhD at the Wyss Academy in 2022. In her research, she explores sustainability pathways in north-eastern Madagascar, with a particular focus on forest conservation and human well-being. Clara is passionate about co-creating transformation knowledge with various stakeholders and loves to learn about people’s experiences, worldviews, and aspirations.
